Getting to Arab Street/Kampong Glam from Bugis Mrt.
Our first stop was one of the famous Nasi padang stall in that area, Hajjah Maimunah Restaurant where we decided to have lunch. Being known for famous food such as Nasi padang, murtabak and roti canai, Arab street attracts many tourist and locals as well. The restaurant had a large variety of dishes to choose from and was indeed crowded even on a weekday. After deciding on the few popular malay dishes, we sat down to dine. We got a feel of how Malay cuisine tasted. Lots of coconut milk and spicy with lots and lots of chilli! Jairus and Jonas thought the dishes were too spicy for them as they kept drinking water.
